Mohit Joshi Appointed as MD & CEO Designate of Tech Mahindra to Take Over in 2023
Tech Mahindra announces Mohit Joshi as its new MD & CEO designate, who will take over from current MD & CEO CP Gurnani in December 2023.
The Board of Tech Mahindra, a foremost provider of digital transformation, consulting and business re-engineering services and solutions, today proclaimed Mohit Joshi as the MD & CEO designate of Tech Mahindra. He will take the position of MD & CEO once CP Gurnani retires on 19th December 2023, and will come to the company beforehand to allow for a suitable amount of time for the transition.
Having already come from Infosys, where he was the President of the company, Mohit has over twenty years of experience in the Enterprise technology software & consulting field and has been an instrumental figure in the digital transformation of some of the largest companies worldwide.
Mohit was the Head of Global Financial Services & Healthcare and Software businesses at Infosys, which included Finacle (the banking platform) and the AI/Automation portfolio. He was also responsible for Sales Operations, Transforming the company, taking charge of big deals and the CIO function, as well as the Infosys Knowledge Institute. In 2020, Mohit was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc, where he sits on the Risk & Governance and Nomination committees. Additionally, he was a part of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader program in 2014 and a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Before Infosys, Mohit had worked in the Corporate and Investment Bank of ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays, and he was also the Vice Chair of the Economic Growth Board of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
The Tech Mahindra NRC, chaired by T. N. Manoharan, has chosen Mohit Joshi as the successful outcome of a thorough selection process, taking into consideration both external and internal candidates. Pointing to his previous experiences in digital transformation, new technologies, and large deals, Mr. Manoharan believes Mohit’s appointment will be of great help to Tech Mahindra’s strategies and its continued progress.
